experience of Lions. The first activity for this year was an
in-house debate. The topic was ?We need to grow more
trees.? Both sides put up an excellent argument however the
negative team were victors on the night. At the end of each
meeting a critique is given by a member of the club to encourage
proper and informed comment of the meeting and to give experience to

MANDURAH WATERS LIFER GETS LIFE WITH ONE WOMAN-NO PAROLE EVEN AFTER SIXTY YEARS.

Life Member Joseph Mason and wife
Sylvia celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on August 5th. Joe and Sylvia
were married in Caboolture, Queensland in 1943. Joe has been a part of the
family of Lions for many years, spending some time as a paid employee travelling
throughout Australia and overseas spreading the good word of Lions. Joe was
instrumental in forming many clubs throughout this country. The Lions club of
Mandurah Waters celebrated the event with an afternoon tea with the special
couple. Joe and Sylvia can be seen doing the bridal waltz in the photo, at a
very similar style that was done 60 years ago.
